10:21 So Peter went down ¹  to the men and said, “Here I am, ²  the person you’re looking for. Why have you come?”

10:29 Therefore when you sent for me, ³  I came without any objection. Now may I ask why ⁴  you sent for me?”

[10:21]  ¹ tn Grk “Peter going down to the men, said.” The participle καταβάς (katabas) has been translated as a finite verb due to requirements of contemporary English style.

[10:21]  ² tn Grk “Behold, it is I whom you seek,” or “Behold, I am the one you seek.” “Here I am” is used to translate ἰδοὺ ἐγώ εἰμι (idou egw eimi).

[10:29]  ³ tn Grk “Therefore when I was sent for.” The passive participle μεταπεμφθείς (metapemfqei") has been taken temporally and converted to an active construction which is less awkward in English.

[10:29]  ⁴ tn Grk “ask for what reason.”
